Week 1: Hearst Mansion

  Our first class starts off with a brief introduction into the module by Mr Hafiz and Mr Jeff. We were then also introduced to Adobe Photoshop. Afterwards, we were taught on how to photoshop Christopher Robin (the poster of characters) into an image of Hearst Mansion.

  After that, we were asked to photoshop a photo of ourselves into an image of Hearst Mansion.

Week 2: -

There was no class commenced as it was a public holiday.


Week 3: Ghost House

11.09.2018
For this week's exercise, it was given through an online tutorial by Mr Jeff to create a ghost house. The elements needed was given through Dropbox.

  There's actually two parts to this exercise. We learned the fast way to mask images as well as match colors with the background and adding filters.

Week 4: Recoloring Black and White Images

For this week's exercise, we have to recolor a black and white photo. Tutorial of it was taught in class by Mr Jeff. We may use blending mode, change the transparency of layers, the different types of brush to make the end result as realistic as possible.

  After finishing the practice, we were asked to find black and white images, preferably from the 1920's and recolor it.

Week 5: Clone Stamp and Healing Brush

  This week, we learned how to use clone stamp and healing brush, as well as the difference between the two tools. 

  We began by learning about the clone stamp. We were asked to remove the chickenpox scars from the baby's face.

  After that, we learned how to add texture of the folds of cloth on to a solid image, which is an image of a flag for us to practice on.

Week 6: Changing One's Stripes

  For this week's exercise, by using what we learned last week, we are taught on how to add snake's skin texture on to the old man's face.

Week 7: Castle of Pyrenees

02.10.2018
  For this week's exercise, we are to create a surreal image of castle in the sky based on a painting by Rene Magritte -- "Castle of Pyrenees". We have to used everything of what we had learned so far in the module to complete this exercise.

  We have to find our own elements from the net as well.

   Other than the elements stated above, I also used png images for the sun rays and clouds, as well as a little of moss.

Week 8: Dali Atomicus

09.10.2018
  For this week's exercise, we were asked to recreate the artwork "Dali Atomicus" by using photos taken by ourselves. We get to have a photograph session with Mr Martin to take photos using the green screen.
