Project 1 - Recomposition of Jacek Yerka's work
Week 8 - Week 11
For our first project, we were asked to recreate a surrealistic painting by Jacek Yerka using our own images and stock images from the net. We were free to use any techniques and tools we learned so far in the class to make the work as similar as to the painting as possible.

After I chose the painting, I start to collect elements needed to recreate this painting.

After collecting most elements, I started off by doing the background and putting up the cupboard and wheat on it. After that I mask the books forming stacks of them into the shape I wanted. As for the buildings, I searched for houses in Eguisheim, medieval village in France’s Alsace wine region.
I experimented with various filter, curves and levels, hue and saturation, brightness and contrast to have it in a more painting feel.
